Apple crumble with spices and granola

This baked apple recipe with granola and crumb topping is a perfect fall dish that’s easy to make and delightful to taste. Sweet apples, spiced with cinnamon and sugar, baked under a crunchy granola topping, create a wonderful combination of flavors and textures. Ideal for a quick dessert or a light snack.

Ingridients:

For the crumbs:
110 g flour
4 tbsp granola + 1 tbsp for sprinkling
100 g of butter
90 g of white or brown sugar
2 tbsp. sumac of ground spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom)

For the filling:
4 sweet and sour apples
2 tbsp of sugar
1 tbsp of cinnamon
1 tbsp of lemon juice
50 grams of sweet and sour berries (cranberries in the recipe)

Instructions:

Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices. Drizzle with lemon juice.

Place the apples in a saucepan, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and stew for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and spices. Add chunks of cold butter and rub together with your fingers to form a crumb. Stir in granola.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Grease a baking dish with butter, arrange the apples and berries, and sprinkle with the prepared crumb topping. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
