Banana cake in a jar

This recipe for banana cakes baked in jars is a fantastic way to create a delicious dessert that’s easy to take on the go. Soft and aromatic cakes with a gentle banana flavor and crunchy nuts are perfect for a snack or as part of breakfast. Baking in jars not only adds an interesting presentation but also ensures even baking. Try this recipe for a tasty and convenient treat!

Ingridients:

80 ml kefir
150 g sugar
2 eggs
1 banana
80 ml water
200 g flour
0.5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
100 g of nuts (hazelnuts or walnuts)
250-400 ml jars – 6-8 pcs.

Instructions:

 

Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). Grease the jars with butter.

Mash the banana with a fork. In a large bowl, mix kefir with sugar. Add the eggs, bananas, and water.

In a separate bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.

Add the flour mixture to the kefir mixture and stir. Coarsely chop the nuts and gently fold them into the batter.

Divide the batter among the jars, filling them halfway. Pour about 1-2 cm of water into a deep baking dish and place the jars in the dish. Bake for 45 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cover with lids.
