Traditional stew with meat and potatoes

This classic meat and vegetable stew is the perfect option for a hearty dinner. Tender meat, juicy vegetables, and a flavorful tomato sauce come together to create a delicious and comforting dish that the whole family will enjoy. Serve the stew hot to savor all its rich flavors.

Ingridients:

10 medium potatoes
1 carrot
1 onion
1 kg of beef
6 tsp. tomato paste
2-3 bay leaves
4 cups of water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Instructions:

Cut the meat into pieces about 3×3 cm. Heat a cast-iron pot, add oil, and brown the meat on all sides until it is nicely browned.

Slice the onion into half-rings and cut the carrot into cubes. Add the vegetables to the browned meat, season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes until the vegetables are golden-brown.

Add tomato paste, water, and bay leaf. Simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.

Cut the potatoes into cubes and add them to the stew. Stir and simmer for another 30 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
